1930s Slingerland Songster

THE GUITARCHIVE - 1930s Slingerland Songster. Great player. There are no dead spots and the action is very low. There’s no buzzing at all. A joy to play. There aren’t any cracks or repairs. The seam is visible along the two piece top. It’s a line that runs the length of the top. But it’s not a crack. It’s fully stable, just showing its age and settling scars. Overall it’s in great shape for an old guitar like this. Very nice to play (plays like a contemporary guitar, due to the low action).

"Grand Concert Size. Select figured three-ply curly maple back and sides with seasoned Adirondack spruce top finished in high lustre Cremona brown. Golden sunburst top, sides, back, and neck. White ivoroid binding on top, sides, back, and sides of neck. Has a new hinged extended tailpiece, adjustable rosewood bridge, arched top and back, oval rosewood fingerboard, metal reinforced neck, individual machine heads, and elevated finger-rest. Head-piece inlaid with sparkling pearl diamonds."
