1996 Martin D-16T
THE GUITARCHIVE –The D-16T is a quality Martin Guitar made between 1995 and 1998. It’s got a solid Spruce top; solid Mahogany back, sides, and neck; and an East India Rosewood heel cap, bridge, and fingerboard. The neck is extra low-profile and inlaid with abalone diamonds and squares. The headstock is the classic Martin with enclosed tuning machines. It’s got a nice satin finish with darkened honey hue that gives it a nice vintage look. It has binding on the body, a herringbone rosette ring and back stripe, and a classic tortoise pickguard. The “T” in the name stands for new “Technology” as this is the first Martin model to incorporate a mortise-and-tenon neck joint.
