1966 Gibson LG-1
THE GUITARCHIVE - This is beautiful 1966 Gibson LG-1 is all original with no cracks, breaks, or repairs. It has a good amount of pick scratches above the sound hole. The solid Spruce top is a handsome dark burst, and the back and sides are well-aged Mahogany. The bridge is the original bolted on plastic bridge w/ original micarta saddle & bridge pins. The neck is mahogany with an Indian Rosewood fingerboard and deluxe Kluson tuners. The scale length is 24-3/4". The nut is 1&9/16". The string height at the 12th fret is 0.90" & 0.110
The guitar is in great shape. It plays and sounds great. We did a little work on it, just to get it to optimal playing condition - filed the nut, re-contoured & adjusted the worn saddle, tightened bridge bolts, did some light fret leveling, and polished out heavy scratches on the frets. We then cleaned guitar & put on Ernie Ball silk & steel strings.
A great collector, as well as daily player.
