Today on The Local Pickup, we’re taking a look at an extremely rare 1941 Gibson GS-85. This guitar is one of only 27 ever made with Indian Rosewood back and sides. With the addition of 33 made with mahogany, that’s only 60 ever produced! The Gibson GS-85 is a classical flattop guitar, which is a step out of Gibson’s comfort zone, but it plays great regardless.
