These old Danelectros were built out of a composite material, probably done to cut costs. The result was a unique sound that no one else had ever been able to produce. The Danelectro brand has been given new life in modern history. A new Danelectro company is making the old model guitars, as well as some new ones. They are also a big maker of great pedals.
