1970s Yamaha SA-50
THE GUITARCHIVE - This is a 1970s Yamaha SA-50 with the unique proprietary Yamaha tremolo tailpiece. The original tremolo bar is included (not pictured). This is a unique semi-hollow body guitar with a plastic pouch inside each F hole to increase sustain and reduce feedback. The condition is excellent, shockingly so. It's like new. Wood choices are top notch, stunning blonde flame, beautiful choice of fingerboard wood, wooden ebony pickup covers (which is odd and cool), and quality hardware. The tremolo system is surprisingly effective, quiet and stable in tuning. The tuners have been upgraded to older Gotoh high ratio tuners and the pickups appear to be 1980s Seymour Duncan SH-4s. It has a fresh setup, cleaning, and string setup with some nice flat wounds. Frets have virtually no wear. Regarding playability, it plays flawlessly. Neck radius is pretty flat and very comfortable. It sounds amazing. Great guitar.
