The Local Pickup is a musical instrument consignment provider. We charge shipping fees to match actual costs, which cover materials, labor, carrier fees, and insurance. Below are general fee rates. Actual fees will be presented at checkout.

Guitars & Basses

Without Hard Case

  • $89 minimum
  • $119 (over $1,000 value)
  • $139 (over $2,000 value)
  • $189 (over $5,000 value)

With Hard Case

  • $109 minimum
  • $129 (over $1,000 value)
  • $149 (over $2,000 value)
  • $199 (over $5,000 value)

Amps

  • $75 - amp head
  • $150 - small combo
  • $225 - mid-combo or cabinet
  • $300 - big amp combo

Smaller Items

  • $15 - strap
  • $35 - pedal / microphone
  • $65 - mixer, board
  • $85 - small but heavy items

Shipping

The Local Pickup ships most items to anywhere in the Continental United States. Fees vary based on the size, weight, and value of the item.

Delivery

The Local Pickup provides delivery services for $1 per mile as calculated roundtrip from 125 Caldwell St, Rock Hill, SC to the provided delivery address. The minimum fee for a delivery is $65.

For example, if you are within a

  • 30-minute drive, then the delivery fee will likely be the minimum of $65
  • 1-hour drive, then the fee will likely be less than $120
  • 2-hour drive, then the fee will likely be less than $240
  • 3-hour drive, then the fee will likely be less than $360

Returns

Any item purchased on our website can be returned (unless otherwise noted) for a full refund minus 5% stocking fee (minimum $25). Items must be returned within 10 days of receiving. We do not pay for the shipping cost to return the item. If the item's condition has been altered, the refund will reflect the resulting change in the item's value.

Taxes

For in-state sales (South Carolina), The Local Pickup will collect taxes at time of purchase. We do not collect any taxes on items sold on our website to out-of-state buyers.
