1980s Oberheim Matrix-6 61-Key Analog Polyphonic Synthesizer

The Oberheim Matrix-6 is a six-voice analog synthesizer with a velocity-sensitive 61-key keyboard and channel aftertouch. It features two digitally controlled analog oscillators per voice, programmable filtering and an extensive Matrix Modulation system.

Sounds can be edited from the front panel, named and saved to any of the 100 onboard patch locations. Another 50 memory locations store split and layer configurations that combine two existing patches. MIDI System Exclusive and the cassette interface allow external patch storage and loading.

The modulation matrix provides ten custom routings per patch, with 20 sources and 32 destinations. Envelopes, LFOs and performance controllers can control oscillator pitch, waveform shape, filter settings and other parameters. Additional programming options feature oscillator synchronization, pulse-width modulation, filter frequency modulation, portamento and a tracking generator.

Condition

Good condition with cosmetic wear consistent with age. Tested and fully functional. The volume fader produces slight noise when adjusted. Comes with the pictured Oberheim footswitch, manual and power cord.
