2006 Gibson SJ-200

Legendary “King of the Flat-Tops,” the Gibson SJ-200 was released in 1937. It quickly became and remains one of the most widely played acoustic guitars among professional musicians.

Finished in Antique Natural and faithful to ’50s spec, this 2006 Gibson SJ-200 is in excellent condition. There is play wear, and there are some scratches on the top, but overall, its in great shape, plays like butter, and sounds amazing.

This Standard SJ-200 has a solid Sitka spruce top and solid maple back and sides that are highly figured and just beautiful. The guitar features the SJ-200’s iconic flower and dot silkscreened graphics on the tortoise pickguard, as well as the open mustache rosewood bridge that is synonymous with the SJ-200. With a 17” lower bout and a 4 1/2” body depth, along with with traditional hand-scalloped X-bracing, the SJ-200 is a big and powerful instrument.

The two-piece, tiger-flamed, maple neck is a slender C-shape and measures .820” deep at the 1st fret and .890” at the 9th. The scale length is 25 1/2“, and the nut measures 1.725”in width. The headstock is bound and inlaid with pearl. The Kluson-style tuners have push-in bushings and off-white buttons. It weighs 5lbs.

The original hardshell case is included.
