1950s Gretsch Electromatic Guitar Amp
This 1950s Gretsch Elecromatic Amp is in amazing shape and sounds just beautiful. It is a low power amp (doesn’t get very loud), which means you can dial it out to get that coveted 50s tube amp sound, with just a bit of tube break up that makes it sound oh so awesome. Or you can pull it back for a nice round clean sound. It has tone to die for. GREAT for a recording studio. We love it in ours!
The amp has been well taken care of over the years with the metal control plate looking very clean. Recently, the power cable was replaced with a 3 prong. Everything else on the amp appears to be original with some of the caps being in question. These are rare birds for sure with a lack of info available on them, but it seems to be an early 50s Gretdsch Electromatic before they started putting the model name on the front grill.
The amp is very small and super light. The original handle still works great, though I tend not to use it because the amp is so small and light, I can easily carry it under your arm.
This amp is a true treasure.
