1961 Gibson J-45
THE GUITARCHIVE – This 1961 Gibson J-45 is in great playing condition and is a really beautiful vintage guitar. The first 3 frets have been replaced – an excellent professional job using matching fret-wire to the original (you’d never know except that it plays like a new guitar). The finish patina is really beautiful. If you love vintage, you’ll love this one. There are scratches and dings. There is one larger scratch / divot in the face of the guitar under the low E string (see pics). The original adjustable bridge works fine. Some of the bridge pins have been replaced (see pics). The tuners have been replaced with newer tuners (considered by most an upgrade). The original tuners and all hardware are included with the guitar (will ship in the case). The guitar plays great, sounds great, and has a beautiful tea-burst finish.
This 1961 Gibson J-45 has an LR Baggs M80 soundhole pickup ($249 value) that sounds great. It can be switched from active to passive per your preference.
This guitar already sold, so this Guitarchive entry is to commemorate the time it spent with us. A great old guitar.
